In-person fundraisers bring big money to non-profits

Due to safety concerns with the COVID-19 pandemic, non-profits in the Eugene area, including CASA of Lane County, held virtual and online events for three years. This changed with the in-person return of CASA’s annual Casino Night on Friday, February 24. Attendees were excited to be at the event in person again, and this showed in their donations, which came to $240,000 in total, $60,000 over the goal CASA had set for this year. According to Kendra Jones, Executive Director of CASA of Lane County, the energy and support in the room couldn’t be compared to anything else.

Other local non-profits in the area, such as Parenting Now, made their own return to in-person events this year as well. CASA celebrates this return to in-person fundraisers alongside them.
