CASA raises $30,000 with third annual 'Over the Edge' event

On Sunday after CASA’s third annual Over The Edge event, KEZI 9 News ran a news broadcast to highlight the event. This event, which took place at Hyatt Place, featured dozens of community members who rappelled down the side of the hotel on Saturday, June 15. Participants, or Edgers, raised money for CASA of Lane County for the opportunity to rappel.

At the event, KEZI spoke with CASA of Lane County’s Executive Director, Kendra Jones, who said her philosophy is that we can be brave for one day to raise money for kids who have to be brave every day as they navigate the complex foster care system for a long period of time.
